Participants will investigate the rapidly changing digital world and its implications for the environment, consumer behavior, digital fashion, and technological advancements such as NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and VR (Virtual Reality). The focus is on understanding how these technologies are utilized within the creative industries and their relevance to Gen Z.

Understanding Gen Z Consumers:
The project emphasizes learning about Gen Z, or “Gen Viz,” and their unique characteristics, preferences, and behaviors as digital consumers. This includes developing a customer profile and understanding market segmentation and targeting to effectively reach this demographic.

Market Research and Creative Outputs:
Participants are required to create a market research mini-report using Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) and other digital software. The report will include various components such as:
- Video Promotion: Planning and storyboarding a moving image video for digital marketing, targeting Gen Z consumers, and potentially using platforms like the Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW).
- Trend Boards and Collages: Developing visual evidence to support a marketing proposal for a brand targeting Gen Z.
- Primary Research: Conducting surveys and questionnaires to gather insights directly from the target audience.

Practical Skills Development:
The project includes workshops and lectures on key topics such as Gen Z and future consumers, the introduction to digital futures, and the use of NFTs, AI, and VR in creative industries. There are also sessions on digital retail and promotion trends, as well as practical workshops on video editing (using Adobe Premiere) and creating marketing materials (using InDesign).

Creative Fashion and Textile Development:
Alongside the research and promotional tasks, participants will have the opportunity to develop digital fashion and textile ideas and ranges, integrating their findings and research into creative outputs.
The project aims to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between digital technology and fashion, particularly in terms of engaging with and marketing to Gen Z consumers. It combines research, creative development, and practical skills in digital tools to create innovative solutions for the future of digital fashion and retail.
